WBR Challenge at the Indiana Tour de Cure

The World Bicycle Relief Challenge at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a one of a kind cycling event that takes place at the most famous oval in sports! All riders will complete timed laps at the Brickyard. The race is more than just another event. It's a life changing event for participants and beneficiaries. A day full of fun and excitement where riders of all levels join forces to challenge themselves, fight diabetes and provide bicycles to the world.

You MUST be registered for the Tour De Cure prior to registering for the WBR Gran Fondo. Tour De Cure Registration
100 mile mass start/draft legal, 40k individual time trial, 40k team time trial and 2.5 mile Brickyard hot laps.
Start Times

7:45am- 100 mile

9am- 40k individual time trial (1 minute starts in order

9am- 40K team time trial (1 minute starts in order registered) Riders competing in 2 events will have start times adjusted accordingly.

9am- Brickyard hot laps. Riders competing in 2 events will have start times adjusted accordingly.


Commemorative custom grand prize trophies for top 3 for overall Men, Women, Red Rider Men, Red Rider Women. Prizes will be awarded to the top three in each age group/category for individual events. Podium ceremony will take place in the winner's circle at the completion of each distance event. All 100 mile participants will receive an event certificate with their official finish time.

Individual- Male/Female Category 1-2, 3, 4-5, Male and Female 12 and under, 13-18,
19-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69,70-79,80+, Tandem, Fixed gear (bike must have two brakes), Recumbent (no fully faired bikes)
Team Time Trial- Male, Female, Co-ed
Rules- USAcycling or ABR license not required. UCI bicycle rules will not be enforced. Event will be conducted within the rules of sanctioned bicycle racing. Event will be conducted by Rocketship Sports. Team time trial participants (2 minimum/4 maximum) must finish with at least two riders. Chip time will be captured for last team member to finish.

Team Competition
Who has the best team? Points will be calculated based upon event
placement with a team champion announced at 1:00pm. All 100 mile participants will receive 20
Entry fee
All racers must be registered and have met the $200 fund raising minimum by start of event for the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure to participate. Please visit diabetes.org/indytour for online registration by June 16th. In person registration is available June 19 at Tour de SRAM or the day of the event. To participate in the WBR Challenge the entry donation is a supplemental $29 for the first event and $15 for each additional event to be collected Friday night during the Tour de SRAM or at the Tour de Cure WBR Registration booth on Saturday June 20th between 6am and 9 am. All riders must be registered 30 minutes before their chosen event start time.
